Arturo Cruz, Councilmember
As a lifetime resident of San Pablo, California, I am honored to have served our city since 2008 and to have made history as the first Mexican American male council member and mayor. I take great pride in serving San Pablo and always act in the best interest of our city as a whole when making executive decisions regarding policies and programs. I carefully consider fiscal responsibility, maintaining a balanced budget, and minimizing environmental impacts around capital projects. These efforts not only protect our community but also create jobs for our residents through our local hiring ordinance, allowing our local economy to thrive. My goal is to ensure San Pablo remains a safe city that welcomes new residents while reassuring longtime residents that this is a community they can continue to call home. I work closely with my fellow councilmembers and city staff to deliver meaningful, trustworthy services and programs that are professional, efficient, and responsive to the needs of our community. I Love San Pablo, California.
