Free Energy Efficiency Toolkit

Learn how to save energy and money at home with the Energy Efficiency Toolkit! Check out the toolkit for FREE from the San Pablo Library (13751 San Pablo Avenue) or any other Contra Costa County public library. Energy Upgrade California - Contra Costa County BayRen Program

The Bay Area Regional Energy Network (BayREN) EASE Home Program offers income-eligible residents of single-family homes customized and low-cost energy upgrades to improve comfort and health at home. Core measures focus on weatherization, energy efficiency, and health and safety improvements. Measures include insulation, duct sealing, and whole-home air sealing. BayREN offers comprehensive support for these upgrades; residents pay just 20% of the total project cost (no more than $1,000 copay). Visit BayREN.org/ease-home to learn more. BayREN or MCE? The BayREN EASE Home Program serves income-qualified residents of single-family homes in all nine Bay Area counties. If you live in a city or town served by MCE, the MCE Home Energy Savings Program may be a better fit. Free "Green House Calls"

Rising Sun Center for Opportunity is proud to partner with the City of San Pablo to offer FREE energy and water conservation services to help you save money on your utility bills. During your Green House Call appointment, you will receive at no-cost:

• Home energy and water efficiency assessment, and customized report
• Installation of efficient LED light bulbs, showerheads, and faucet aerators
• Installation of Advanced Power Strip (while supplies last, approximately a $50 value)
• Toilet leak detection test

Free Home Weatherization Program

There are currently two free Residential Home Improvement/Weatherization Programs available to San Pablo Residents.

Contra Costa County website: Weatherization Program   PG&E website: Energy Savings Assistance Program Additional PG&E Resources: Conduct a free Home Energy Check-up Or, apply online to the Energy Savings Assistance Program. Participants must live in a house, mobile home or apartment that is at least five years old, and must fall under certain income thresholds.
