Fats, Oils and Grease Disposal

EBMUD and Recycle More have partnered to provide a free drop-off program for fats, oil and grease at the West Contra Costa (WCC) Household Hazardous Waste Facility.  This FREE service is available to all West County residents. 15 gallon per person maximum. Restaurants are not eligible for this free service.

Dumping these liquids down the drain can cause sewer line backups into your home, and these liquids can have toxic impacts when dumped into storm drains that flow directly into the Bay.  Instead, bring your cooking fats to the WCC Household Hazardous Waste Facility where most cooking fats can be turned into bio-diesel.
