NOTICE OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS VACANCIES
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE FOLLOWING VACANCIES EXIST ON THE FOLLOWING COMMISSION:
PLANNING COMMISSION
(One Vacancy)
Mayor and City Council extend an invitation to interested individuals to apply for appointment to one voluntary position on the San Pablo Planning Commission.
The Planning Commission functions as both a decision-making body and an advisory body to the City Council on a range of planning and zoning related issues (e.g., annexation, rezoning, land use planning, etc.). The Planning Commission meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 6:00 pm, but may meet more often on special projects. Persons having a desire to serve in this capacity must be residents and registered voters of the City of San Pablo. Planning Commissioners are also required to disclose publicly certain financial interests as required by the California Fair Political Practices Commission and refrain from participating in decisions in which they have a conflict of interest. https://www.fppc.ca.gov/Form700.html

Application Deadline: The completed application must be received no later than 6:00 pm on Thursday, January 2, 2025.
Qualified applicants will be invited to interview with the City Council following the application deadline. Applicants selected to serve on the Planning Commission will then be required to attend a mandatory orientation on a date to be determined (depending on availability of selected applicant). The first Planning Commission meeting for the newly appointed Commissioner is anticipated to be on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at 6:00pm.
